Patentability restrictions in the pharmaceutical field revoked

On March 18, 2026, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Health and the PTO published Joint Resolution 1/2026 in the Official Gazette repealing the Joint Ministerial Resolution 118/2012, 546/2012 and 107/2012 issued in 2012 which imposed severe patentability restrictions in the pharmaceutical area.
